Rolling Mill Strip Breakage Protection Through Advance Algorithm and Use of Upstream Automatic Surface Inspection System
This work discusses a defect warning system using a digital system to prevent coil breakages in the pickle line tandem cold mill. The objective is to develop an integrated system that monitors the defect captured in hot strip mill through an automatic surface inspection system in real time and classifies detect potential. The methodology involves integrating levels 1, 2 and 3 systems for real-time analysis and predictive modeling. The system can identify patterns indicative of possible strip breakage. The work demonstrates the feasibility and benefits of using data-driven methods to eliminate strip breakage, enhancing manufacturing efficiency and reducing downtime.
