Oxygen Lancing in a Flameless Burner Working With Hydrogen and Natural Gas Mixture
In the ongoing decarbonization phase, it is known that steel producers need maximum flexibility for running their plants while minimizing operating costs. Having reheating furnaces with combustion systems able to operate with different oxidizes and fuels according to their lower cost is a significant competitive advantage. The aim of the development is to offer the market a burner capable of operating with maximum efficiency and minimum polluting impact while being able to be fed with combustion air and/or oxygen and with natural gas and/or hydrogen. The well-known Tenova flameless lateral TSX is the starting point of this development.
