Water plays a crucial role in industry decarbonization as water is often used as a coolant in industrial processes (water-energy nexus). Industries must reduce their carbon emissions and optimizing water usage will be crucial. <br/>Solutions to produce energy are water-intensive and industries have to adopt sustainable water management practices. Water is also linked to climate change. Floods or droughts can stop production and impact the infrastructure or the production. Steel industries rely on water for various processes and will have to adapt practices to ensure sustainable water use and minimize impact on water resources to achieve sustainability and profitability goals.
