The Virtual Sensor Digital Application in Long Products Rolling Mills

The Virtual Sensor digital application is a product designed and developed by POMINI Long Rolling Mills as an application built on top and in connection with the POMINI LRM mill Digital Twin application. The Virtual Sensor, according to real-time data collected from the mill equipment, simulates roll wearing and other variables without the need to have further physical detecting devices installed at shop floor and/or on equipment. The modeling of the Virtual Sensor is based on an artificial intelligence network. Finally, a real rolling mill example is presented.
