Integrated Platform for Process Design, Mill Operation and Thermometallurgical Simulation

Horizon is an integrated software platform developed by POMINI LRM to manage the design of the rolling mills processes and equipment in an orderly workflow. The paper presents an example of typical design workflow, starting with the creation of a mill digital twin, including all data requested to design a process, select equipment and then, finally, be transferred to the end customer to support the mill operation, the data collection and the maintenance. The paper presents also the main concepts of the software architecture and products in the Horizon building. A digital twin thermometallurgical simulator is also presented.
