Advanced Technologies of Cold Complex for Advanced High-Strength Steel (Tandem Cold Mill and Continuous Galvanizing Line)

Based on Zhanjiang Iron &amp; Steel Co. Ltd.&#39;s strategy for sustainable development, Primetals Technology delivered a tandem cold mill (TCM) and continuous galvanizing line (CGL) furnaces to the third cold rolling mill. The TCM consists of five stands<br/>of the relocated UCM and one new Hyper UCM stand. The addition of HYPER UCM featuring small-diameter work roll enabled stable rolling of advanced high-strength steel (AHSS) sheets. CGL-2 is characterized by having direct-fired impinging deoxidizing burners, which have not only selective oxidation but also superior heating characteristic, thereby improving the coating quality. This paper introduces the main features of these facilities.
