Development of New ZrO2-CaO-C Material for High-Performance Anti-Clogging Nozzle
The application of ZrO2-CaO-C material (ZCG), which is known as one of anti-clogging technologies for continuous casting nozzles, has been difficult to obtain the persistent anti-clogging characteristic in the past. In this study, a new ZCG has been developed which has both excellent anti-clogging effects against alumina inclusion in molten steel and corrosion resistance by using ZrO2-CaO materials containing high CaO in order to improve anti-clogging characteristic of ZCG. More stable operations and contribution to higher steel quality can be expected.
