CANCELLED: Development of Ladle Tracking System, Ladle Thermal Model and Dynamic Production Scheduling as Key Tools to Reach Process Stability at Vallourec
High productivity and quality at the caster are guaranteed through the achievement of a desired steel temperature in the tundish. The tripod [Ladle Tracking System + Ladle Thermal Model + Dynamic Scheduling] has been implemented at Vallourec Steel Plant to define proper ladle position and condition through automatic ladle management, to predict and recommend precisely the steel temperature on metallurgy through AI models, and to perform dynamic scheduling and quick corrections to the production planning depending on the processes scenarios. The present work shows this digitalized and integrated concept that brings process stability, productivity optimizations, and expressive savings for the steel plant.
