Applications of Carbon Sources for Green Steel Using Power Carbon

After years of announcements, environmental questions are finally being answered. Electric arc furnace (EAF) producers have taken steps to reduce carbon emissions or find substitutes that promote carbon credits. This paper compares the behaviors of carbon fines from main different sources: vegetal and mineral injection by Power Carbon technology from Lumar Metals. Results showed no difference in EAF process but a huge difference in the carbon impact.
