Surface Quality Management and Condition Monitoring to Ensure Reliable Quality Decisions

Inspection results of surface inspection systems are the base for quality decisions and are essential for process optimization. Therefore, inspection systems have to deliver reliable data. The Surface Quality Management System creates detailed, customer-specific quality decisions for each production step. To ensure that these decisions are based on reliable data, condition monitoring collects real-time data from the inspection systems for real-time evaluation. The system health key performance indicator is based on hardware, defect detection and classification performance. Product and production quality are shown as defect class and quality decision statistics. Condition monitoring realizes a millwide visualization of the inspection system states.
