Reducing the Carbon Footprint of the Hot Rolling Mill Process
Induction technologies offer a cleaner solution to heating needs of the hot rolling process when compared to alternate heating methods – such as combustion furnaces, which many rolling mills use today. Induction heating systems will be shown to offer a better return on investment, lower operating costs, produce higher quality end products and reduce metal losses and toxic emissions. These induction heating systems are already beginning to change the landscape of the steel industry and are a great part of the solution to decarbonizing the steel hot rolling process.
