Real-Time Monitoring Coupled to Automation for More Sustainable and Effective Water Treatment at Steel and Aluminum Mills

The waste and process waters in steel and aluminum industries are intricate and variable, presenting significant challenges to reliable water treatment. These challenges are further compounded by increasingly stringent environmental regulations and recycling quality demands. This presentation will focus on the expanded efforts by Nalco Water to enhance visibility into the water quality of multiple streams and final effluents. Additionally, it will cover the automation of treatment chemicals applied to the clarifiers within these mills.
