Full Life Cycle Support — Getting Revamping Projects Done

The steel rolling industry accelerates toward higher quality, carbon neutrality and digital transformation. This necessitates mill modernization concepts that seamlessly integrate energy efficiency, advanced automation, extended production flexibility and uncompromising product quality. Producers are strong in anticipating upcoming requirements and have a robust knowledge base resulting in profound forecasts of time-to-market and volume expectations but face challenges when upgrading existing facilities to meet evolving demands, as skilled personnel and project execution experience are scarce. This paper details essential stages in brownfield projects, from initial discussions to execution. Two case studies are presented, differing significantly in scope, product mix and timeline.
