Industrial IoT to Empower Digital Twin

Within HORIZON, the integrated platform for process design and mill operation based on digital twin functionalities, specific Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) modules are integrated to fulfill different needs of modern rolling mills. The continuous monitoring approach is critical to detect asset deterioration. By using PRISENSE for production machinery, PEGASUS for bolt evaluation, and SERPENS for spring analysis, the adoption of predictive maintenance techniques was facilitated, thus avoiding potential failures. In addition, SAGITTARIUS improves asset tracking and identification, simplifying operational procedures to increase efficiency and reduce safety issues. The digital twin interconnects IIOT modules for widespread plant supervision.
