Stabilization of the Continuous Casting Process by Reducing Tundish Troubles
Recently, direct rolling has become more popular in the production process to save energy consumption. With the direct rolling method, since problems in the continuous casting process are directly connected to the rolling process, stable operation without troubles is one of the most important issues. This paper introduces the following efforts to prevent steel leakage troubles in the continuous casting process:
1. Suppression of steel leakage by changing the material and structure of the tundish nozzle tuyere.
2. Improving durability by reviewing the material of the tundish nozzle.
