Automation and Manpower Saving in Mini-Mills Using Robots and Digital Technology
In order to meet the demands of steelmakers in such a severe environment such as work in high-temperature environments, decisions rely on personal experience. Steel Plantech is striving to expand its product lineup using the latest digital technologies such as robotics, image analysis and AI, mainly targeting electric arc furnace plants. This presentation introduces efforts to solve these issues and the results of the targeted products, such as the hot-rolled long products sampling robot on the cooling bed, measuring the length and position of a product system, etc.
